Our incredible team is the reason Barkley Place has built such an outstanding reputation over the last three decades. Our skilled, on-property staff are here to help create the caring atmosphere that makes our residents feel at home, and offer assistance whenever we’re needed.

Our community is active and independent, and we’re here to make sure residents can enjoy every minute of their day without worrying about activity planning, transportation, meal prep or cleaning. Meet Our Senior Care Staff

Tina Keating

Executive Director

Tina started at Barkley Place as the Health Services Director in May 2010, and was quickly promoted to Executive Director in December 2010 based on her stellar work and commitment to our residents. Prior to working at Barkley Place, Tina worked in home health, treating a number of her clients at Barkley Place. She knew that Barkley Place was a very special and vibrant community and jumped at the opportunity to work here. Tina loves spending time with the residents and ensuring that they are receiving the best care possible. She is a native Floridian and has two teenage daughters, Megan and Courtney, who keep her very busy outside of work. In her spare time she likes to work out and play tennis.


Jolene Salls

Health Services Director

Jolene came to Barkley Place in 2011 with over 25 years in the healthcare industry. Her experience and knowledge of assisted living has had an extremely positive impact on the care our residents at Barkley Place receive.

Jolene has been married to her husband, Peter, for 28 years. She has five children in the furry-form of cats: Buck, Romeo, Edward, Colby and Lilly. Originally from Lancaster, PA, Jolene moved down to Fort Myers in 1998. She and Peter are self-proclaimed “foodies,” who go out to eat often, entertaining her vegetarian lifestyle.


Jan Angelucci

Assistant Executive Director

Jan is the driving force of the Barkley Place accounting system – she balances the financial teeter-totter of 175 senior living residents and half that number of employees. She came to Barkley Place in 2010 and has loved every minute of her job. From Georgia to Kentucky to Ohio to West Virginia and finally south to Florida, Jan has lived and worked with the best of the best. Educated at the University of Kentucky, she is an accounting aficionado, avid reader, seamstress, fisherwoman and driver extraordinaire. Jan has a wonderful husband, Ralph, and two beautiful dogs: Jake, a yellow lab and Gunner, a golden doodle.


Richard Perry

Dining Services Director

Rick has worked at Barkley Place since July of 2010, and has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry in both senior living and five-star restaurants. Rick’s first order of business as the Dining Services Director was to fashion a true dining experience with restaurant-quality cooked food for the residents. He believes that the quality of the food makes for a happy and successful community. As we all know, it’s all about the food! Originally from Boston, Rick moved to Naples, FL, in 2005 with his son, Kyle. In their spare time, they spend countless hours at the beach, playing golf right in their backyard, as well as boating and fishing.


Anita Lacy

Community Sales Director

Anita became acquainted with Barkley Place while selecting a senior living community for her mother-in-law in 2010. She knew immediately that Barkley Place was not only the right place for her mother-in-law, but also for herself. Anita’s background is in working with people in all walks of life. She’s seriously done it all—from working death row at the Tennessee Men’s Prison, to hosting her own radio show on 980 WSIX, to touring and booking the Grand Ole Opry, to working in hotel sales for the Marriott and the Opryland Hotel.

Anita is living the dream in beautiful Southwest Florida with her husband, Don, boating and fishing in their spare time. She’s been blessed with amazing children, too.


Bobby Russ

Maintenance Director

Bobby started working at Barkley Place in 2009 as an evening concierge as well as a weekend driver. He then started helping out the Maintenance Department, painting apartments as needed. When the Housekeeping Supervisor position became available, Bobby jumped on the opportunity, and within a year, Bobby had moved his way to Maintenance Director! Needless to say, Bobby’s love for Barkley Place and his hard work shows in his day-to-day dedication to our residents. Bobby is married to his beautiful high-school sweetheart, Charlene. They have two sons: Jake, who is receiving his doctorate from George Mason University and Sean, a local fire fighter. In his spare time Bobby finds himself on the boat, enjoying the beautiful Florida weather, fishing his heart out!


Cindy Syoen

Activities Director

Originally from Prospect Heights, IL, Cindy moved to Florida in 2002 and began work in the senior living industry in 2003. She joined the staff at Barkley Place in 2009, working as a Certified Nursing Assistant, bus driver, activities assistant, and concierge. She accepted the position of Activities Director in 2014. Cindy loves the challenge of cooking up new ideas to entertain and delight our residents, and makes it her personal goal to bring excitement to our busy activities schedule. In her spare time, Cindy enjoys baking, bike riding, kayaking, reading, and spending time with her husband and furry friends.
